Australian Mobile Doctors provides telehealth and after hours doctors home visits for patients who are unable to leave their homes to travel to a medical center, as well as urgent general practice care when your doctor’s practice is closed.
It’s important to note that after hours doctors who make house calls typically prioritise urgent cases, so it’s important to explain the nature of your medical condition when requesting a home visit. If your condition is not urgent, it may be more appropriate to visit an after hours clinic or wait to see your regular doctor during normal business hours.
At the moment we are unable to offer after hours doctors home visits due to the surge of COVID-19 cases. Protecting our doctors, staff and potential patients from the risk of infection is always our number one concern.

After Hours FAQ
An after hours doctor, also known as an after-hours GP, is a medical professional who provides medical services outside of regular business hours, typically in the evenings, on weekends, or on public holidays. These doctors are often available for urgent medical situations or when patients are unable to see their regular doctors during regular business hours.
When an after hours doctor comes to your home, they will typically perform a medical assessment to evaluate your condition and determine the appropriate treatment plan. The doctor will bring a portable medical kit that contains equipment and supplies for basic medical procedures, such as taking your temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
During the assessment, the after hours doctor will ask you questions about your symptoms, medical history, and any medications you may be taking. They will also perform a physical examination to check for any signs of illness or injury. Based on the assessment, the doctor will develop a treatment plan, which may include medication, referrals to specialists, or further diagnostic tests.
If you require medication, the after hours doctor may be able to provide you with a prescription on the spot, or they may arrange for it to be delivered to your home or picked up from a pharmacy. The after hours doctor may also provide advice on managing your condition, such as home care instructions, and may arrange for follow-up appointments with your regular doctor.
